Bhutan has varieties of birds; It is paradise for bird watching lovers. Bhutan being a terrain with wide range of altitudinal and climatic conditions (from sub-tropical to alpine), the Kingdom of Bhutan has over 750 species of birds recorded till date. The highest profile species include the Black-necked crane, White Bellied Heron, Blyth’s tragopan, Ward’s trogon, monal pheasant and Rufous-necked hornbill.
Bird lovers have to travel to the east of the country at Sengor and Limithang under Mongar Dzongkhag (District) this place is famous known some of the finest areas to watch the birds. Very Early morning before 5am is the best timing to watch the birds.

Day 1: Arrive Paro – Explore Paro town visit includes National Museum, duck watching at Pachhu (Paro river)
Day 2: Thimphu local sightseeing includes visit of Memorial Chorten, Textile Museum, Heritage Museum, and Handmade Paper Factory
Day 3: Thimphu local sightseeing continues visit Painting School, Motithang Zoo (preserve national animal – Takin) and Buddha Point
Day 4: Punakha en-route Dochu La to Punakha & Birding at Punatshangchu
Day 5: Phobjikha – Birding on the way
Day 6: Bumthang/Sengor on the way birding and camp at Sengor
Day 7: Sengor birding and camp at Sengor
Day 8: Yongkola birding and camp at Yongkola
Day 9: Limithang/Yongkola birding and camp at Limithang
Day 10: Limithang/Korila birding and camp at Korila
Day 11: Mongar to Bumthang
Day 12: Bumthang – Paro
Day 13: Taktsang excursion
Day 14: Depart Paro
